One day, around my 7th birthday she sent me a package, I don&#39;t recall ever receiving a gift from her other than this, but it was a beautiful gold necklace with a chai (hebrew for life). It was my first piece of real jewelry and I treasured it and never took it off. As a teenager I was into trendy jewelry and couldn&#39;t recall what I had done with it but after my wedding my mom said she had kept it for me and gave it to me.
