Easter Egg Crafts for Kids

Share |

Easter not only means baking a big ham in my family, but it also means fun decorating crafts. These are great for kids of all ages--and for adults! I love the suggestions by Nana Ellen because they really range in skill level. Some will require some teamwork between you and your child, while others they can do themselves...whether simple designs with little kids, but can also be more complex and challenging for older children.

Here they are (follow the above link for her detailed instructions):

Can you spot the egg? Yes, the body of these beautiful butterflies is a dyed or painted Easter egg. How cool is that!? Whether as a fun way to spruce up your usual Easter decorations or as a fun change to an Easter egg hunt, this is a sure winner.
These colorful paper-mache eggs are not really eggs. She takes a blown up balloon and then uses colorful tissue paper to make these. Once they dry you can cut them in half and use as a bowl to hold Easter eggs or other decorations.
How elegant are these eggs? I just love the idea of taking pressed flowers and leaves to paste on eggs for decoration. It's the perfect way to celebrate the new season of Spring and all of its floral and foliage. I also like how these have true vintage charm.
