It's that time of year. The tomatoes are starting to pour in, the corn is at its peak, the peaches are super sweet--I'm in produce heaven.
Our little garden on our roof let me make an amazing tomato sauce last night, full of fresh basil and two different type of homegrown tomatoes.
So perhaps this is how I came to search Etsy for crafts inspired by the current glut of yummy fruits and vegetables.
I love these printed art cards. The artist has four different summer vegetables; beans, peppers, tomatoes, and corn. I especially like the bundle of corn.
Okay, I love these garden markers! I seriously think I'm
going to have to get some. The artist makes these custom to order, and you get to choose if it's engraved on a knife, fork, or spoon. Personally, I love how the spoons look when they are flattened out -- the texture has that great vintage feel to it.
This tomato crocheted hat might be a little warm for summer, but come the fall this will be the perfect way to keep a little bit of warm weather around. The hat come in different size for 0-2 years, but the artist can also make larger hats to order. She packages all the hats in a pie tin, with a “recipe card” attached. How cute is that! The card includes the name of the hat, size and care instructions. Both the hat and pie tin are nestled inside a cardboard pie box. Love it!

Those plant markers are so cool! What a great idea, using a spoon too.
