With a new season coming, it's natural to want to add something new to freshen up your wardrobe. Here are some ideas I'm excited to try, for adults and kids!
From Craft magazine comes this simple yet chic wrap skirt. What I love about it is that they offer two versions- a simple version for beginners, and a more advanced version with piping for people who are comfortable behind a sewing machine. Oh, and this skirt is reversible. Which is great if you're like me, and have a hard time picking just one fabric to use! Plus I love wrap skirts. They're easy to make, and pretty much a one size fits all.
From Joy's Hope comes this adorable Tutu T-Shirt. What a great idea! This seriously makes me wish I had a little girl- I just might have to make it for a friend's kid anyway. She provides detailed instructions, and promises that it's a lot easier than it looks. She made her first tutu t-shirt when she was just a beginner at sewing, so don't be afraid to try this!
If you are looking for
ways to save old clothes, here are some useful tips. Amy at Glitter, Vinyl, and Thread has this tutorial for fixing t-shirt sleeves by shortening them. Craft gives directions on how to c
rochet that hole in your favorite sweater, as well as how to make your jean pant/skirt patches more stylish.

I love the tutu t-shirt! And, it's perfect for me...being the novice seamstress that I am! :)
It's great to find such crafty people in the blogosphere, isn't it?
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
