Personalized Christmas Ornaments

Share |

I don't know about all of you, but I know I just can't wait to get my tree up...so I guess you could say I have Christmas ornaments stuck in my brain lately. Though I have many classier ornaments, my favorite is still one from my own childhood. When I was around five, I was walking in a nearby park with my Mom around Christmas time. As we were walking by a stream I found a discarded fishing bobber that was half red and half white. "Look Mom! I found a Christmas Ornament!" I was absolutely convinced it was meant for our tree, and my mom didn't have the heart to tell me I was wrong, so on the tree it went...and it still does.

Anyway, as much as I cringe at doing this, I can't help give a shameless plug for these personalized Christmas ornaments that my friend Jamie hand paints and designs. The cut off time for ordering these to arrive in time for Christmas is approaching, and so I figured it couldn't hurt to point out that she has so many cute designs.

I personally love the Snowman ornament-- maybe it's because I'm originally from Texas, and so snow is still something of novelty for me, even if I have been in New York now for over 20 years.

She can personalize these with either a "First Christmas" message for babies, or just you or your child's name.

Another artist I work with, Ann, is also out with a new Christmas tree ornament that is very unique. She can take any photograph, whether of one child or the whole family, and turn it into a heirloom quality ornament that will last throughout the years. The photo will be placed in glass and sealed in with a lead-free silver metal. Color photos can be changed to black & white upon request. The reverse can have a Bible verse, special phrase, name(s) or dates. Each ornament is finished with sage or berry red wired grosgrain ribbon.
