Monday Give Away

Share |

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Congratulations to Lace for winning the pirate coat rack for last week's giveaway! I hope the lucky kid who recieves this enjoys it as much as we do over at the Warm Biscuit Bedding Co.!

One of my favorite parts of running my business is that I get to work with fabulous people. Since my first job at a ice cream pallor I've know that if you work with good people, even stressful moments are bearable.

There are many talented artisans who make the products at the Warm Biscuit Bedding Co. We have Vicky Vinson, who sews our boys and girls bedding and paints all of our custom kids furniture. No matter how much sewing projects she has on her plate, she always manages to keep a calm and cheerful demeanor. She's absolutely amazing! And then we have Shannon Sunderland and Ann Anderson, two crafty women who make our personalized jewelry.

But this week for the Monday Giveaway I wan to highlight Jamie Lentzner. Though we live on opposite coasts, I consider Jamie a good friend, and one I'm very lucky to have. Not only is she a mom of an adorable boy and girl, Jamie owns her own business built around her artistic talents. With a degree in Computer Art and a background in animation, whimsical, childlike designs come naturally to Jamie. Using ceramic tile and ribbon, Jamie creates personalized name tiles and wall art in a variety of themes and colors.

Jamie has recently been expanding her reach to include personalized ceramic plates, which I'm super excited about. This week for the giveaway we'll help you prepare for Thanksgiving with a personalized turkey plate handpainted by Jamie. With this plate, even picky eaters will want to gobble up all the food they give them, just so they can see their name!

Here's how to enter the give-away to win one of these personalized turkey plates:

1. Leave a comment on your favorite Thanksgiving tradition.
2. Mention how you found this site
3. Check out the Warm Biscuit Bedding Co. to see what kinds of Thanksgiving items they offer or some of the other products handpainted by Jamie.
4. Make sure I can contact you! Either leave an email address in your comment, or make sure that you have contact information on your blog profile.

You can receive an extra entry towards this giveaway if you link to this give-away in your blog and put that link in your comment.

The give-away is open for entries until Sunday, October 26th, at 11:59PM. Winners will be chosen at random, and announced Monday morning. Good luck!

Note: At this time, the Warm Biscuit Bedding Co. cannot ship give-away items internationally. They apologize for the inconvenience to all of you great people living outside of the U.S.

This is going to be an interesting Thanksgiving since my daughter is 2 next month, loves to eat almost anything and she goes to a program every week that has a turkey she loves to pet! So how do we even explain that we eat turkey on this day? Not this year! Anyway, my favorite is the stuffing with sausage in it and my grandmother's chocalte cream pie! Love your company, always have!

I love the simplicity of Thanksgiving and how it's just a meal for family and friends. One Polish tradition we follow is having a large communion wafer (Catholicism) that my dad gets from church and we each break a piece off and express something we're thankful for as it makes its way around the table.

I've been visiting your blog for a while now, can't remember how I originally came here.

I love Warm Biscuit's Thanksgiving Table runner and the red apron. And Jamie's work is lovely. What an inspiration for creative moms everywhere. I hope someday to be making some extra money being crafty while raising my child.

My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is talking about all the past Thanksgiving fiascos and happenings, such as my one of my relatives cooking the turkey WITH the neck, etc inside and thinking it was GUTS when she opened it up after cooking it, tickling everyones feet under the table when I was a kid after dinner, and playing board and card games with my grandparents when younger. Now I am able to tell my own children about silly stories etc. Also we do a Thanksgiving THANK you search game and it's fun and odd in its own way.

I also enjoy the day after Thanksgiving as I spend it with my mom Christmas shopping.

I found this site through a friend.

My favorite thing on the site is the bows added to the letters in the name (in brown) to make it girly. I am going to do that this weekend to my daughters polka dot letters to add some flare.

I love the plates, great art really!

My favorite Holiday tradition would have to be... Deviled eggs. Every year we run around and hide the blasted plate from one another, until someone gets yelled at and we are forced to share! ~sighs~

I found your lovely blog through Mom Giveaways.

Our Thanksgiving tradition is a little hectic. First we go to the inlaws for lunch at 1:00, then my family for dinner at 5:00. If the addage that the average person consumes 7000 calories on Thanksgiving is true, I'm in trouble! I wouldn't trade it for the world, though. Thanks for the great contest!

From warm biscuit, I love the Floral Lounge-About pjs. My daughter would be so cute in these!

Last year, I cooked Thanksgiving dinner, and I really hope that becomes a tradition. We don't live near any family, so if we're at our house (either alone or with visitors) I'll be cooking, and that's great.

I found your blog through Mom Giveaways. Glad I'm here!

Thank you so much for the great giveaway. I didn't know they offered seasonal items. I LOVE the table runner! That is so very pretty!!!! Simple, yet pretty.

I found your contest through an e-mail from Mom Giveaways.

A Thanksgiving tradition of ours is around 11 AM we set up TONS of fresh fruit, fresh veggies, chips, dips and other goodies on the coffee table and everyone gathers around to gobble them down while we watch the Macy's Day parade. When we finally see Santa Claus at the end of the parade we all get excited and cheer and jump around. Then we either look for "Miracle on 34th Street" or put in the DVD if it's not on TV. Later that night after dinner is over and dishes are put away we watch the Dallas Cowboys play and then after that we watch "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" before going off to bed.

We do this every year!

I love their beginners knitting kit. It would be perfect for my grand-daughter who is wanting to learn. I found you through Mom Giveaway. At Thanksgiving we each take turns around the table saying what we are thankful for. I love hearing what the kids have to say and it really brings us all closer together. Thanks so much.
