Monday Give-Aways

Share |

Congratulations to GroovyTeach and Socialnetwork4kids for winning the Fisher Price Chatter Phones!

This week's featured artist is Vicky Vinson. "If I'm not painting, check my pulse!" quips Vicky Vinson, manager of the Custom Corner, the Warm Biscuit Bedding Co.'s custom furniture division in Skiatook, Oklahoma."No surface is off limits." Vicky paints and designs all of Warm Biscuit's furniture.

Vicky is going to be making a beautiful custom treasure box for the winner of this week's give-away. The treasure box can be painted any of 16 different colors and decoupaged with any of 19 different accents, as well as being personalized by the child's name.

The custom keepsake box measures 14 L x 7 W x 6 H, and is perfect for any type of collectibles like old coins, favorite treasures, jewelry, trinkets or love notes.

Here's how to enter the give-away to win one of these custom keepsake boxes:

1. Leave a comment on this blog telling me what (if any) crafts you do as a family
2. Check out the Warm Biscuit Bedding Co. to see what kinds of crafts they feature.
3. Make sure I can contact you! Either leave an email address in your comment, or make sure that you have contact information on your blog profile.

You can receive an extra entry towards this giveaway if you link to this give-away in your blog and put that link in your comment.

The give-away is being extended to Saturday, September 6th at midnight (because of our Labor Day late start). Winners will be chosen at random, and emailed Monday morning. Good luck!

Note: At this time, the Warm Biscuit Bedding Co. cannot ship give-away items internationally. They apologize for the inconvenience to all of you great people living outside of the U.S.

Since my little ones are only 1 and 2, we don't do a lot of crafts besides coloring and playing with play dough, but I love the knitting kit at Warm Biscuit. Maybe I can teach my little girl when she is 5 like my mom taught me :)

Oh, these boxes are so cute!

Mostly we draw together as a family. My husband is an artist and draws on everything, so that's trickled down to the kids. He's also teaching our four year old daughter to use some basic hand tools, so she's good with a hammer and screwdriver. He's also teaching her to use files and chisels, although only under close supervision. We also like to bake together, which can feel like a craft project sometimes!

i love to make play dough and we love to finger paint!!

The kids love play dough! We don't get to craft together very often, but they help me with Christmas ornament gifts we give out every year! We'll be crafting more when we get back into homeschooling and when the holidays roll around! Thanks for the chance to win!

We love to gather things from nature outside and then make collages out of them.

I'm an art teacher (on maternity leave though) so I love to do almost everything with kids. My own child is too young yet, but I already have a kids easel for him!

I'd love to try the pinhole camera that you sell, since I haven't experimented with one of those yet.

I've also got your button on my blog

My kids love to glue and collage with "junk" (basically things that should've seen their way to the trash.. bottle caps, bits of ribbon, etc). I also have a door in my kitchen painted with chalkboard paint, we love the chalkboard door and so do guests.

We bake as a family; especially during the holidays. We also make various candies as gifts. Our favorite family activity are games. Pleas enter me in your handmade box giveaway drawing. A craft we like to do together is taking old lamps and painting them and adding beads to them to give a wore out lamp some up to date style and personality. We also do scrapbooking and declopoging items to make them unique, like bookcases, desks, endtables.

SInce my son is only 6 months old we don't really do any crafts, unless baby food on his highchair counts as finger painting! LOL

I do, however, like to collect rocks from places Dexter visits for the first time. I like to paint them and write on the bottom what makes that rock special. I just made one to help celebrate his first swim in Lake Michigan.

I love these cute trinket boxes! THANKS
